Featured Recipe
Hi, Angels Working On Earth Family!
Chili is an all-time favorite of mine! I’ve been making this dish since I was eight years old! I like to make this dish with ground turkey meat. The turkey meat is tender and has a lot less fat than beef! But I still love beef too.
This recipe contains all of the essential macros, such as healthy carbs, proteins, and fats. You can have this for lunch or dinner. If you want to try a delicious lunch idea, make plain baked potatoes and top them off with a cup of turkey chili. Or use this chili as a topping for cauliflower or taco pizza.
Enjoy!
Recipe

Makes: 8
For the dry ingredients
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
Black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon ground cumin
Kosher salt
For the wet ingredients
3 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 green bell pepper, roughly chopped
1 pound ground turkey
1 28-ounce can diced fire-roasted tomatoes
2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
METHODS
Select medium-high heat.
Add the turkey and cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, until cooked through, about 4 minutes.
Add the tomato paste, chili powder and cumin and cook, stirring, until the mixture darkens, about 1 minute.
Add the bell pepper, celery and 1 teaspoon salt.
Cook, stirring, until the bell pepper and celery is tender about 4 minutes.
Stir in the tomatoes, chicken broth, and beans into the pot; bring to a simmer.
Partially cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, 10 to 12 minutes.
Taste and adjust flavor as needed
Optional:
Top with crushed tortilla chips, sour cream, cheddar and scallions.
